A Letter to the Unwell Mom: You Got This
I see you strong momma. You are unwell. Fighting every day to keep it together. You feel like you are only able to do just enough for your family and struggling to keep your head above water. It is not like you to do what you need to do to just get by, but you have this thing that is holding you back… holding you down. You pray and wish that you could feel better to be a better mom, wife, daughter, and friend…. but that is just not how it is right now. You feel like you’re not enough. You’re managing… you’re in survival mode.
It is ok to just do and just be. Who you are and what you do is enough. You do not need to do ‘all the things’ and be superwoman now, just be. Your family and friends love you. What you may be lacking in effort and going the extra mile right now, can be made up for in love and cuddles. Don’t be afraid, things will get better no matter whatever your situation. You can do this strong momma. You will make it. It is time to take care of you.
Trust. Pray. Breathe. Relax.
I know that it is hard to be patient and wait for a solution or the time to feel well again. As they always say, patience is a virtue. You got this! What you lack in energy right now… make up for in inner strength to fight through. Be that example for your kids and show how perseverance and strength always win. Sometimes a day of watching Disney movies on the couch while cuddling with your kids is just what the doctor ordered. It is your turn momma, time for you to take care of you.
